The Australian Institute of Architects Victorian Chapter have revealed an extensive shortlist of 74 projects for the 2015 Victorian Architecture Awards.
Those shortlisted were selected from a total entry field of 197 projects across 15 categories, and are a result of an intensive program of jury presentations and site visits.
The architects responsible for the projects will now wait eagerly for the annual Presentation Dinner to be held Friday 26 June at ‘Peninsula at Shed’ 14 Central Pier, Docklands.
As was the case with the NSW Architecture Awards shortlist, the residential categories are very strong this year with the Residential Architecture – Houses (Alterations & Additions) and Residential Architecture – Houses (New) both receiving over 25 entries and featuring a shortlist of 11 projects.
Multiple Housing, Small Project and Urban Design are also strong with eight, eight and nine projects shortlisted respectively.
All entries including the shortlisted projects will be exhibited in the Atrium at Federation Square for a period of two weeks from 26 May to 8 June.
